These Terms of Service govern your use of EQRounds. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them carefully — they are written to be clear and fair.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using EQRounds at eqrounds.com or any related application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

EQRounds is an AI-powered practice tool for building emotional intelligence skills. We offer scenario-based conversation practice, feedback on communication style, micro-lessons on assertiveness, empathy, listening, boundaries, conflict resolution, and related skills, plus progress tracking, streaks, and achievements.

We are a small independent product focused on deliberate practice. We are constantly improving scenarios, coaching, and the learning path.

User Accounts

To use EQRounds you need an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

Do not share your account, use someone else's account without permission, or attempt to access accounts you do not own. Notify us immediately at hello@eqrounds.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Appropriate Use

You agree to use EQRounds in a way that is respectful, lawful, and consistent with its learning purpose:

• Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls of the service.
• Do not use automated scripts or scraping to abuse rate limits or extract content at scale.
• Do not use the service to harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm others.
• Do not use practice conversations to generate illegal, hateful, or discriminatory content.
• Do not upload viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt the service.

We reserve the right to limit, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe usage violates these expectations or harms other users.

AI Conversations — Important Disclaimer

If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional help, please contact a qualified professional or crisis service in your area. In the US, you can call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

We design our coaching to be supportive and constructive, but we cannot guarantee every piece of advice will be correct for every context. Treat EQRounds as a practice gym, not as a substitute for human judgment or professional guidance.

Intellectual Property

The EQRounds application, visual design, logo, branding, scenarios, lessons, copy, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your own practice transcripts, custom scenarios you author, reflections, and personal data belong to you. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process that content to provide the service, generate feedback, and improve EQRounds in aggregate, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our lessons or proprietary scenario library outside personal use without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

EQRounds is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your particular needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall EQRounds, its founders, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the service, or from AI-generated content and feedback.

Because practice conversations involve AI-generated content, you acknowledge that outputs can be imperfect and you remain responsible for how you apply what you practice in real life.

Termination

You may stop using EQRounds and delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@eqrounds.com. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or create risk for other users or the platform.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability, and contact — will survive.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as our product evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or in-app notice where reasonable.

Continued use of EQRounds after an updated version takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service.
