Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of EQRounds. They explain free access, optional Plus subscriptions, content you upload, and the limits that apply to an AI practice service. By using EQRounds, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using EQRounds at eqrounds.com or through a related application, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Description of the service

EQRounds is an AI-powered practice tool for building emotional intelligence skills. It offers scenario-based conversation practice, feedback on communication style, micro-lessons on assertiveness, empathy, listening, boundaries, conflict resolution, and related skills, plus progress tracking, streaks, and achievements for account holders.

Quick Coach is available without an account. It helps you think through a message or situation and can process a typed message or an uploaded screenshot. Full practice sessions and saved learning progress require an account. Features may change as the product develops.

User accounts

You can use Quick Coach without creating an account. To save full practice sessions, feedback, progress, streaks, achievements, or custom scenarios, you need an account. When you create an account, provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs under it.

Do not share your account, use someone else's account without permission, or attempt to access an account you do not own. Notify us at hello@eqrounds.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Free and Plus plans

EQRounds keeps Quick Coach free for everyone. A free account includes up to three completed full practice rounds per calendar month, plus the free features shown in the app. Plus is available for $9.99 USD per month or $49 USD per year. Plus includes unlimited practice rounds, custom scenarios, and the guided learning path. No Plus purchase is required to use the free features available at the time.

If you purchase Plus, the subscription renews on the monthly or annual interval you select until you cancel it. Stripe processes the payment and subscription details. EQRounds does not store full card numbers. We may receive the limited information needed to provide Plus access, confirm subscription status, and answer billing questions. Stripe generates billing documents for paid subscription payments and renewals and may send or make them available to you.

You may cancel a Plus subscription through the Stripe customer portal or another subscription-management flow made available with the service. You may also contact hello@eqrounds.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your Plus access continues through the end of the current paid period, unless applicable law requires a different result. After that period, access returns to the free features available at that time, and saved account data is not deleted solely because a subscription ends.

Our default policy is not to provide a prorated refund for unused days in a paid period. We will review duplicate charges and charges that appear to be incorrect. Send a cancellation or refund request to hello@eqrounds.com with the account email and relevant payment details. We aim to review these requests within 14 days. This is a service target, not a replacement for or limitation of any statutory right.

Mandatory consumer rights always apply. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits a consumer protection, withdrawal, refund, charge-dispute, or other right that cannot legally be waived in the country where you live.

Changes to plans and features

We may change or discontinue free features, including the availability or limits of Quick Coach, as the product develops. For a material change to a paid plan or its price, we will provide reasonable notice where practical before the change affects a future renewal. Any change remains subject to mandatory consumer rights.

Your content and uploaded screenshots

You are responsible for the messages, screenshots, custom scenarios, and other content you submit to EQRounds. Only upload content that you have the right or permission to share. Do not upload another person's private conversation without authorization, and remove unnecessary sensitive information before sending a screenshot. More information about how this content is handled appears in our Privacy Policy.

Appropriate use

You agree to use EQRounds in a respectful, lawful way that is consistent with its learning purpose:

• Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security controls of the service.
• Do not use automated scripts or scraping to abuse rate limits or extract content at scale.
• Do not use the service to harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm others.
• Do not use practice conversations to generate illegal, hateful, or discriminatory content.
• Do not upload viruses, malware, or code intended to disrupt the service.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe that usage violates these expectations or harms other users or the service.

AI conversations: important disclaimer

If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional help, contact a qualified professional or crisis service in your area. In the US, you can call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

We design our coaching to be supportive and constructive, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of advice will be correct for every context. Treat EQRounds as a practice gym, not as a substitute for human judgment or professional guidance.

Intellectual property

The EQRounds application, visual design, logo, branding, scenarios, lessons, copy, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain the rights you have in your own practice transcripts, messages, screenshots, custom scenarios, reflections, and personal data. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process that content to provide the service, generate feedback, and improve EQRounds in aggregate, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our lessons or proprietary scenario library outside personal use without written permission.

Limitation of liability

EQRounds is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your particular needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EQRounds, its operator, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the service or from AI-generated content and feedback.

Because practice conversations involve AI-generated content, you acknowledge that outputs can be imperfect and you remain responsible for how you apply what you practice in real life. This section does not limit liability or rights that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

Termination

You may stop using EQRounds and request account deletion at any time by contacting hello@eqrounds.com. If you have Plus, cancellation of the subscription is handled under the Free and Plus plans section. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or create risk for other users or the service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, payment obligations, limitation of liability, and contact terms, will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice by email or in-app notice where reasonable.

Continued use of EQRounds after an updated version takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. This choice does not remove or reduce mandatory consumer protections that apply in the country where you live. Any dispute will be handled by the courts and procedures required by applicable law.
